British Ambassador Daniel Taub Confirms Meeting With Bradford Officials

Israel’s Ambassador to Great Britain Daniel Taub has responded to the racist rhetoric of Bradford West MP George Galloway with a visit to the city. The controversial comments by Galloway, declaring Bradford a “Israeli-free zone” was roundly condemned by leaders all over the world.

While many speculated as to why Ambassador Taub visited Bradford, Telegraph and Argus reported that Taub claims he was invited by city and religious leaders to quell the unrest many thought would follow after the divisive comments.

Galloway is no stranger to making offensive and anti-semetic comments. However, Ambassador Taub say during his stay in Bradford, he never sensed that the residents shared Galloway’s sentiments. “The only thing I’ve heard is inclusion and not the mean-spirited rhetoric coming from Galloway.”

The Ambassador also pointed out how important it is for people to work together regardless of religion to make the region a better place. Many people feel that Galloway is a holdover from the past and his way of doing things is quickly coming to an end.

Galloway is already in hot water for his comments. The British Police have already launched an investigation into his activities. Galloway has gone on such rants before making wild accusations and touting ridiculous conspiracy theories about the Jewish State.

His racist views were put on full display during a debate with an Israeli opponent, when he shouted, “I don’t debate with Jews” after he realized he was Jewish. Read more: Daniel Taub | Ideamench and Daniel Taub | LinkedIn

He also accused Israel of engineering unrest in the Ukraine, and also said Israel was given chemical weapons to Al Queada. He quickly walked back the statements and made a full denial even after the moments were captured on tape.

Although Ambassador Taub’s visit will have tight security, it is believed that his visit will go on without a hitch. “It is my goal to open dialogue,” said Ambassador Taub. “The people of Bradford asked me to come, and they don’t represent the views of Galloway.”

A number of students and organizations have been speaking out regarding Ambassador Taub’s visit. Many are confirming what he’s been saying. “Galloway’s statements are counter intuitive,” said one student.
