INDIVIDUAL STARTING TIMES TIME TRIAL GIRO D'ITALIA 2024 | WHAT TIME DO ARENSMAN, GANNA, THOMAS AND POGACAR LEAVE?

On the seventh day of the Giro d'Italia, there is an individual time trial. In and around Perugia, cyclists will face a grueling forty kilometers against the clock, which is expected to shake up the rankings. Cycling news outlet IDLProCycling.com has listed the starting times for the main contenders below.

Just after 1:00 PM, the first riders will begin their race from the start platform, with Julius van den Berg of DSM-Firmenich PostNL being the first to set off. The Dutchman is currently at the bottom of the standings, but in a time trial during a grand tour, the saying goes that "the last shall be first".

Tobias Foss, who has had a fall earlier, is also an underdog that is currently ranked low in the standings. Many will be closely watching the performance of Filippo Ganna, who is 78th and thus starting fairly early.

The Italian could be one of the few riders capable of setting a target time that the climbing specialists in the rankings might aim to meet later, especially since the course ends with a climb to Perugia, favoring those adept at climbing.
