Louis R. Chênevert, the renowned Canadian businessman, was born in Quebec. He was appointed the Chief Operating officer of UTC in March 2006. He joined Pratt& Whitney in 1999 where he worked as the president for six years. Previously, he spent 14 years at General Motors. He resigned as the CEO of United Technologies Corp in December 2004.
