Anyone who goes into a care home could be entitled to benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). However, the department have warned that there are some things you are required to tell them.
Guidance states that you must tell the office that pays your benefit as soon as possible if you go into hospital for one night or longer, go into a care home or rehab centre for one night or longer. If you are unable to call yourself, a friend or relative can contact for you.
