ANDREW TATE AND HIS BROTHER TRISTAN WILL BE KEPT BEHIND BARS FOR ANOTHER 30 DAYS
Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan will remain in custody for another 30 days after having their detention extended again on suspicion of sex trafficking. A Romanian court extended the brother's time behind bars on Wednesday.
The judge granted prosecutors a fourth 30-day extension while officials continue to investigate Andrew, Tristan and two women on suspicion of human trafficking and rape.
The ruling means the two brothers, as well as Luana Radu, 32, and Georgina Naghel, 28 will remain in custody until April 21, a spokesperson told the Mail Online.
None of those arrested have been charged with any crime since their arrests.
The decision comes just over a week after the controversial influencer was denied bail after spending close to three months locked inside the Aiud Prison in central Transylvania.
It was the fourth time the brothers' appeal for bail has been denied.
The brothers have been in custody since their arrest on December 29 and can be held without charge for a maximum of six months in total.
If the judge continues to grant prosecutors' requests for detentions, this could mean the 36-year-old former kickboxer and his suspected accomplices will not be released from prison until at least June 27.
At the time, a spokesperson for Tate said: "We are disappointed in this outcome as we had high hopes to see Andrew reunited with his family. His legal team will be appealing this decision within the 48hr time frame."
Romanian prosecutors are accusing the four suspects of creating "an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content".
Both brothers have maintained a strong social media presence throughout their time in custody, with Andrew's page frequently posting messages to his 5.4million followers.
The brothers' manager recently said that his social media staff and legal team are responsible for posting the many tweets.
Court documents explaining the earlier decision to keep them in jail said the judge took into account the "particular dangerousness of the defendants" and their capacity to identify victims "with an increased vulnerability, in search of better life opportunities." They are accused of recruiting their alleged victims by seducing them and falsely claiming they want a relationship or marriage. Both brothers deny all allegations against them.Tate, who was previously banned from Twitter over misogynistic and controversial tweets, has claimed "the Matrix" is behind his arrest. In his first message after the arrest, Tate said: "The Matrix sent their agents."
