On July 4, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces Wieslaw Kukula arrived in Kyiv at the invitation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, according to the General Staff of Poland and the General Staff of Ukraine.

"Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Wieslaw Kukula, started a working meeting in Kyiv by laying a bouquet at the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine," the Polish General Staff says in a statement.

The general paid a visit to Ukraine at the invitation of Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"This is another important meeting between the two commanders, which demonstrates solidarity and cooperation between Poland and our eastern neighbor in the face of Russian aggression," Ukraine's General Staff adds.

At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces clarifies that the generals held fruitful negotiations to strengthen cooperation in countering Russian aggression.

"Poland has been a reliable partner of Ukraine since the very beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. We appreciate the military-technical assistance and diplomatic support of Poland. We are also grateful for assisting in the preparation of our units, which have already taken up the defense of the state. We can defeat the aggressor only together," says Syrskyi.

Since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Poland has been comprehensively helping Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. In particular, Poland is one of the countries where a large number of Ukrainians fleeing the war left.

It was recently reported that Poland will announce the operational readiness of the NATO-Ukraine training center at the NATO summit in Washington.

In addition, Poland may sign a bilateral agreement on security guarantees with Ukraine before the NATO summit.
