ENGLAND TEXT LEAKED AS EUROS STAR CLAIMS HE'S 'UNHAPPY' WITH 'SPLITS ALL OVER THE PLACE'

A text message from a disgruntled England star complaining of "splits all over the place" has been leaked, it has been claimed.

Despite reaching the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, all has not been well for the Three Lions on the pitch following four wretched performances. And it has been suggested there are ructions off the pitch too after talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil claimed there are problems within Gareth Southgate's squad.

The former Ipswich Town and Scotland striker says he has seen a message from a current England player expressing his dissatisfaction with life in the camp. If true, that represents a major concern ahead of Saturday's quarter-final against Switzerland in Dusseldorf.

"I hate to say this – and I'm not going to grass them up – but I've seen a text from one of the players who is absolutely not enjoying it at all. There are splits all over the place," said Breakfast Show presenter Brazil during a chat with Piers Morgan, who, in turn, told the players to stop complaining about the negative reaction to their performances.

"If they expended as much energy on the pitch as they do criticising people who criticise them, we would win this at a canter,' said Morgan.

"Whatever line-up we have, start being accountable. Stop whining about the media, who have been very mild in their criticism, given how bad we've been playing. Start playing at the level you were playing at in the last few months of last season and stop moaning all the time about people saying you've been c*** when you've been c***!"

On Southgate, who could be overseeing his last tournament as manager, Morgan added: "The bottom line is, Gareth Southgate has a very good record as England manager but he's also been in charge of a very talented group of players.

YOUR TURN! What's wrong with England at Euro 2024? Tell us in the comments section.

"If Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger – the first eight years [at Arsenal] Wenger – Jose Mourinho, Jurgen Klopp were managing this team, how would they be playing? They would be playing at a much faster tempo. Watching them the other day, they were walking around like snails. Why? I just don't get it.

"When you watch Spain or Switzerland, they are playing at twice the speed we are playing. There's something inherently wrong with the way these players are playing."
