HAMMERS CLOSE IN ON KILMAN

According to several reports across England on Thursday, West Ham United are now close to completing the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Max Kilman.

It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano among others that the Hammers have had a bid £40 million accepted by their Premier League rivals and the Englishman will undergo a medical for this one.

The 27-year-old Chelsea-born centre-back began his career in the CM Futsal Academy and has represented England’s futsal team at international level with 25 appearances between 2015 and 2018.

When he left Maidenhead United in 2018 to join Wolverhampton Wanderers, he turned into an out and out professional footballer and has gone on to become a key cog in the Wolves defence.

He has made 151 appearances for the club and has become the captain in the last 12 months since the permanent departure of Conor Coady to Leicester City.

If Kilman passes his medical and the deal does go through then he will become West Ham’s third signing of the summer transfer window and he will reunite with new Irons boss Julen Lopetegui.

The Hammers have also brought in Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras for a fee believed to be around £20 million as well as Wes Foderingham on a free transfer from Sheffield United.
